Arequipe Cake (Milk Jam Cake) Recipe

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until the batter is smooth.

9. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the whipped cream.
