– 1 cup of softened unsalted butter
packed brown sugar, measuring one cup
– Half a cup of sugar, granulated
– Two big eggs
– 2 and a half cups of all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons of salt-one cup of toasted, chopped pecans
Instructions:
1. Line baking pans with parchment paper and set oven temperature to 350°F, or 175°C.
2. Whip the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter into a frothy mixture in a large bowl.
3. Gradually beat in the eggs, one by one, and then add the vanilla essence. Make sure everything is thoroughly incorporated.
4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate basin. Whisk to combine.
5. While mixing, gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
6. Add the chopped toasted pecans, folding gently.
Make sure there’s enough space between each cookie before dropping heaping teaspoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
