Peanut Butter | How to Make Peanut Butter Using a Blender

Making homemade peanut butter is simple, delicious, and healthier than many store-bought options. With just a few ingredients and a blender, you can create creamy, rich peanut butter that’s perfect for spreading on toast, adding to smoothies, or simply enjoying by the spoonful. Here’s how you can make your own peanut butter at home.

Ingredients
2 cups of unsalted roasted peanuts
1-2 tablespoons of olive oil (or peanut oil)
1/4 teaspoon of salt (optional)
Honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Peanuts
If your peanuts are not already roasted, you can roast them in the oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the peanuts on a baking sheet and roast for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and fragrant. Let them cool before using.
2. Add Peanuts to Blender
Place the roasted peanuts in your blender. If you’re using a high-speed blender, it will handle the peanuts with ease. For standard blenders, you may need to blend in smaller batches.
3. Blend the Peanuts
Start blending the peanuts at a low speed. Gradually increase the speed as the peanuts start to break down. The peanuts will go through several stages: crushed, chunky, and then smooth. This process can take 2-5 minutes, depending on your blender.
4. Add Oil
As the peanuts blend into a paste, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to help achieve a smoother, creamier consistency. Add the oil gradually, blending well after each addition.
