Salmon Cakes with a Southern Twist

Open the can of salmon and make sure to remove all the liquid inside. Put the drained salmon in a bowl and break it into small pieces using a fork.Include onion, cornmeal, flour, mayo, and egg. Mix until everything is well combined.Form the mixture into round shapes similar in size to a regular burger or slightly smaller.Fry in a pan with oil on medium heat until both sides are golden brown. Flip over once while cooking.Remember: The mayonnaise helps the burgers keep their form and prevents them from becoming too dry.
