Southern Chocolate Cobbler Recipe

Regarding the Chocolate Filling:
One cup of all-purpose batter
Two tablespoons of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Seven and a half cups of sugar, granulated
2-Tbsp cocoa powder
half a cup of whole milk
One-third cup of melted unsalted butter
1-tsp. vanilla essence
If desired, add 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips.
Concerning the Topper:
half a cup of sugar, granulated
Light brown sugar, 1/2 cup, tightly packed
Quarter cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of water that is hot
HOW TO DO IT?
First Thing to Do: Preheat the oven. Heat a 9×9 inch baking dish to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the oven.

The second step is to make the chocolate paste. Flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder should all be thoroughly mixed in a basin. After the butter has melted, add the milk and stir until a batter is formed. Add the vanilla essence. To make it even more decadent, you may fold in some semisweet chocolate chips. Evenly distribute the batter into the baking dish that has been prepared.

Step Three: Prepare the Topping: In an other dish, mix together the brown sugar, cocoa powder, and granulated sugar. Divide the batter among the baking dish’s layers and sprinkle the mixture evenly.

Next, carefully pour the boiling water over the batter and sugar mixture. This is the fourth step – adding the boiling water. Keep still.

Fifth Step: Bake Until Perfect: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 35 minutes, or until top is firm but still somewhat soft.

Step 6: Enjoy! After baking, take the cobbler out of the oven and allow it to cool a little before cutting into it. Pour large servings of the hot cobbler into plates, then garnish with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for the quintessential Southern dessert.
