The moment I saw this recipe, I knew what I was fixing for dinner! Tastes even better the next day!

4 bone-in pork chops, approximately 1 inch thick – Season with salt and pepper to taste – In a tablespoon of vegetable oil – Thinly slice 1 big onion – Mince 3 cloves of garlic
Two and a half cups of milk-three teaspoons of all-purpose flour
These ingredients call for thinly sliced potatoes (about 2 pounds), chicken broth (1 cup), shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup), and paprika (1 teaspoon).
For garnish, chop some fresh parsley.
Instructions:
1. Get the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) before you start.
2. Add salt and pepper to both sides of the pork chops.
3. Brown the pork chops on all sides in a big skillet that has been heated over medium-high heat with the vegetable oil. Cut off the excess fat and set away.
4. Slice the onions and garlic and add them to the same skillet over medium heat. Bring the onions to a simmer and cook until they become soft and transparent.
5. To make a roux, add the flour to the garlic and onions and whisk continuously for one minute.
6. Add the chicken broth and milk little by little while whisking constantly to thicken the sauce.
Set aside as you take the skillet from the stove. 7.
8. Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in a large casserole dish, being sure to overlap them slightly.
9. Top the potatoes with half of the shredded cheese and half of the onion milk sauce.
10. Layer the remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheese in a second layer. For an extra pop of color and taste, sprinkle some paprika on top.
The eleventh step is to pile the potatoes and then add the browned pork chops.
12. Bake the casserole dish for 1 hour in a preheated oven, covered with aluminum foil.
13. After an hour, take the foil off and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the potatoes are soft.
14. Allow the dish to rest for a 10-minute period prior to consumption.
15. Before serving, top with freshly chopped parsley for an extra pop of color and a burst of freshness.
