Are there any old dishes you miss from your childhood? For me, one of those dishes is chipped beef on toast. Even though I know it’s neither elegant or healthy for me, I still like it. It has always been one of my favorite breakfasts, and my parents used to make it for us a lot when we were kids. I only prepare this dish once a year, typically on my birthday, since it’s bad for all of us. I managed to attend my dad’s 80th birthday celebration today this year. He was pleased that I created it in his honor, but I wish he could have been here to share it with us. As usual, everything tasted fantastic, and we all devoured it. Eating this meal with my dad would have been the only thing that could have improved it.
